Three tips for family portrait session with kids

Making portrait day a success is important. Our former (and repeat) clients want to share three tips with you all to ensuring a great session:

1. 1. 1. 1. 1. Our client Lori gave us a tip on attire: “Talk through your child’s outfit with them before hand. Do not try to put them in something for the first time on picture morning.” Try to show them outfit ideas (and/or options) ahead of time and help them pick their favorite outfit.
            2. We all know kids can be fussy and it can be tough when you’re all dressed up and ready to go. That’s why the first tip is from Greg who said it’s important, “Creating a no pressure environment so they do not get easily frustrated.” Giving kids breaks and holding no expectations are key to a good session.
            3. Last and certainly not least, Coda says to “Make sure you’ve had something to eat prior!” Happy bellies means happy kids. Bringing snacks is also a good idea!
