The Flores Family at Black Hill Regional Park

I was so excited when this Peruvian family reached out to have their family photographs taken. As I was talking to Nathaly about their day, I learned quickly that this was special for them–it was their first time taking photographs. She summarized it really well:

“To me, the photoshoot meant more than nice pictures. It was a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate how far we have come together, and as individuals. I think as immigrants, sometimes our relentless drive to reach our next goal prevents us from slowing down and taking the time to relish in the accomplishment of big or small milestones in our journey.”
