Laura & Philip married at the Cathedral of St. Matthews in Washington, DC. Their intimate ceremony was shared with 20 of their closest family and friends. Their celebration continued with a luncheon The Mayflower Hotel. Congratulations Laura & Philip!

The U.S. Botanical Garden is a beautiful and quiet place for family portraits. Its manicured gardens make for an excellent backdrop while also allowing kids to run around in the grass. Ashley graduated from law school and wanted to celebrate with a photo session. The goal was to give her a Supreme Court look while also getting some greenery. She threw in some fun balloons to commemorate her new title! Congratulations Ashley!!!

Cherry Blossoms are a beautiful springtime experience in the Washington, DC area. My favorite location to photograph them is the National Arboretum. It’s a quiet place and great for kids to roam and explore. In addition, parking is easy and plentiful, making it a top pick for families.  

One of the best things about being an entrepreneur is photographing other women-owned businesses. Ixöq boasts hand-woven baskets made by women in Guatemala.
