On the Campaign Trail with Sec. Julián Castro: Houston Rally

Over the last few months, I’ve photographed Democratic Candidate for President, Julián Castro. He is the former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (under President Obama) and former Mayor of San Antonio.

In September, we traveled to Houston for the democratic debates. The week kicked-off with the Castro Country Rally at Warehouse Live.

Events sometimes start with a photo line. It’s a great opportunity for attendees to get to meet Secretary Castro and get an official photo with him.

The speakers did a great job warming up the crowd and explaining how important Secretary Castro’s leadership has been. The speakers included included Former State Senator Leticia Van de Putte and comedian Cristela Alonzo.

After his speech, Secretary Castro greeted supporters, spoke to press, and signed placards for supporters.
