Growing up in Peru and having come to this extraordinary country when I was 8-years old, I never could have imagined I would one day photograph the U.S. presidential inauguration. It was such an honor to capture the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris as part of the official photography team.
For this historic day, I was assigned to cover the parade down 15th St. and Pennsylvania Ave. heading towards the White House. Once at the White House, I covered Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff as they entered the Eisenhower Executive Office building.
