What time of day should we get photos taken?
I most always photograph during sunrise–especially at historic sights! The monuments are a wonderful sight and most tourists enjoy seeing it too! To avoid tourists and for beautiful light, the morning is the absolute best time to photograph.
What should be bring?
If you have little ones, snacks, a light outfit change (like an extra top or sweater), toys or their favorite stuffed animal. For adults, extra make up/touch up items and perhaps some layers depending on the season.
We don’t know where to get our photos taken! Where should we go?
I’m happy to help pick a location in the DMV. I typically recommend a local park or a place where the whole family feels comfortable. A meaningful location is also a great special touch!
What happens if it rains?
One of my favorite parts of family portraits at the Kennedy Center is that it’s covered on the outside! So if it rains, we still have space to photograph! There are other locations I recommend and happy to always brainstorm!
