Noche Tropical Gala | Mary’s Center
Last Friday, my team and I photographed Mary’s Center’s annual Noche Tropical gala for the third consecutive year! This event has grown so much it is now hosted in DC’s largest ballroom, the Washington Hilton. Mary’s Center’s mission is to provide the community with health care, education, and social services. Their annual gala gathers a diverse group of professionals from various industries. This year included two special guests: Mayor of DC, the Honorable Muriel Bowser, and NBC’s Chief Meterologist, Doug Krammer. Within hours, Mary’s Center raised $600,000! Their sponsors included PEPCO Holdings, Maximus Foundation, The Meltzer Group, Carefirst, PNC Bank, Briya Public Charter School, and many more.
My favorite part about this gala is the reception. All of the hard work is celebrated with a live band and dancing! Mary’s Center knows how to turn a corporate gala into an fun party!
As photographers, the main challenge of this event is the turn around time. We edit and provide the final photographs that night, so Mary’s Center can send photos along with thank you notes to sponsors.
