The Pennington Family

I had the pleasure of meeting the Pennington family at the steps of the Lincoln memorial for a sunrise shoot! It was a chilly fall morning but the sunrise was perfect! I love shooting sunrise especially at the monuments for two main reasons: the soft glow from the sun and the lack of tourists! Also, I feel like kids are up and running around by the time the sun comes up anyway!! The Penningtons live in the city and travel often, so getting their portrait taken right at home, made it that much better! The kids were super adorable and I think they had fun running by the columns of the Lincoln!

The trees are at their peak colors and I’m so excited to share more fall portraits with you all! Enjoy!

I love getting parent photos during each session. It’s super funny and cute when kids see their parents kiss and they get embarrassed and cover their eyes!! Haha! Check out these two parents–they look great!  Who doesn’t love to end a photoshoot with a group hug!?
