How to prepare for your engagement session

For most couples, their engagement session is the first time being photographed together professionally. These sessions allow both of you to be comfortable in front of the camera and goes a long way in helping with your wedding day portraits. Here are some tips to prepare:

• • • Think coordinating instead of matching outfits. Consider colors that compliment each other and avoid large patterns.
    • Empty your pockets! Literally. You don’t want keys or phones showing through your pockets because it wrinkles and pulls on clothing.
    • Timeliness is key. Golden hour only happens for a limited amount of time, so be sure to arrive on time.
    • Come prepared with two looks: business casual and formal attire. This will give you a greater variety of photos.
    • Be comfortable in your outfit. If you’re using Rent The Runway or getting a custom attire, make sure you’ve tried it on a few times before the session.
