Comfort Cases Gala 2018
When Rob Scheer asked me to photograph Comfort Cases‘ annual fundraiser, I immediately agreed! I was excited to cover the event with my friends Chris Ferenzi (photographer), and Jon Fleming (photobooth), to ensure that Comfort Cases’ important work with foster youth was highlighted. Comfort Cases began when Rob’s own children arrived at his home with their belongings in a trash bag. He knew every child regardless of their circumstance deserved to feel like they were valued, and Comfort Cases was born. Each case holds toiletries, a book, pajamas, a stuffed animal, and a blanket.
“Every child deserves to know that they matter. When Comfort Cases provides a case to a child in need, we not only offer them new items that they can keep during their journey, we also provide them with dignity and the notion that someone cares about what they are going through.”
